Fretted Electro/acoustic ‘Montecristo' electro/acoustic Flip-top CBG
A flip-top CBG is one that has the box turned upside down so that the bottom of the cigar box is used as the sound board. This can be quite beneficial as the bottom of the cigar box is thinner and is more resonant.
I have used plantation meranti for the neck timber, reclaimed Huon pine for the fretboard and rosewood for the fret dot markers.
The guitar has a 24 inch scale length which helps to keep the overall length down making it a great guitar for travelling.
